Buying Cdma Phone including Telstra CDMA
There are 4 Cdma Operator in Australia.1.Telstra (Closing On 2008)2.Optus3.Orange ( Closed Now)4.3(Three) (Closing Operation of cdma service by Mid Aug 2006)Here are some guide for people buying used cdma phone.Cdma do not use sim(ruim) card as in the GSM phone. The phone number is programmed with the Esn No to the phone. As when you bid for a used cdma phone in ebay, make sure you know which phone operator are they connected.Telstra and optus do not connect/reuse phones from orange/3So please when you bid,ask and never assumeYou may end up buying a expensive toy with no actual useNo matter what operator,it is always better to check the ESNBuying Telstra CDMAWith telstra providing free upgrade to their phone, you must check whether the previous owner have update their phone. If they have update their phone, the old phone you buy is useless - Just a expensive toy.So be careful when you buy used CDMA phone
