Lego (R) 9 Volt Trains - A Brief and Basic Overview

The purpose of the this guide is to give some general information on Lego (R) 9 Volt Trains. There are quite a few Lego (R) 9 Volt train Sets available as well as people who are selling various cars and accessories for these trains. There are several things to consider, in my mind, when purchasing a Lego (R) Train Set, be it in the store or off of okay.One of the things to consider is condition of the Set. Whether it has been played with, just used for decoration, or mint in the box. Your particular use and desired condition is something that that needs to be determined by you, the buyer before placing a bid. I have seen Lego (R) Sets in general sell in various different configurations so you need to pay attention to the auction and what your needs are. Are you trying to get a whole Train Set car by car or would it be easier/cheaper to buy the whole set? Do you need the directions and the original box? Does it matter to you if the box is open or damaged? These are all factors that help to determine the final price of each auction. How many of your desired set are currently listed on okay and what have they been selling for in the past? Do the pictures and description seem clear and accurate? Although these are being applied to trains, it can be applied to many things you may or may not decide to bid on in general. Lego (R) trains run on metal and plastic tracks, that can be connected with Lego (R) pieces. They are designed to be safe for children, and people who may be allergic to some metals. Lego (R) trains can be referred to as L Scale or roughly 1:38 scale. A 9v Train set up will need a few various things in order to be fully operational. You will need Lego (R) 9V Train tracks (connected in a circle) a 9V train motor kit, a Lego (R) Train Logeotive and the speed regulator and transformer . Then all you really need to do is connect the clips and wire to the track, plug in the transformer to the speed regulator and you are ready to go. Setting up the train is very straight forward and fairly simple, but figuring out what you need can be tricky.The track was made in the following shapes: - Left Switch- Right Switch- Curve- Straight- Cross (T-shape, needed to make a figure 8 track layout)Tracks can be set in auctions as all curve pieces, or in mixed lots that will create a certain layout.Mostly what I would suggest doing is researching information on Lego (R) Trains (there are Train Clubs that are especially for Lego (R) trains) and deciding what cars and buildings you want to have for your train. It seems to be easier to build the kits or buy them pre built than try to piece together your own train, but either way can be very fun and satisfying. Make sure you check the feedback and reputation of the seller, and ask any questions you have before placing a bid. Most Lego (R) train sets and cars are straight forward but make sure of what is included in each and every auction before placing a bid.There are some Train cars such as the Santa Fe Line that are hard to gee by. They have since been retired and are not currently for sale in stores. These seem to be very popular amongst people of all ages because they are modeled after actual cars and logeotives.
