Creating own bedtime story - How bunny tricked coyote

This is a continuation to my thirst for creating own bedtime stories and sharing them with you. I have written and posted an introductory article with a sample story before. If you haven't read it yet and would like to, following is the link.

Creating your own bed time stories enriches your creativity. It alsohelps your children to be inspired to enhance their own creativity. They do so by adding to your story, changing where it leads and how it ends and ultimately by creating their own stories. As I mentioned in the previous article with examples in a story, some of the ways you can make a story more interesting are, by choosing the opposite effect (a car getting hit by an alien woman),creating unusual characters (a crocodile with a green tail and a red body) and making them funny (Penguin borrowing a car).
Now to the story.
Once upon a time there lived a bunny in a forest by the Mississippi river. One day the bunny was eating clover leaf in a small open field near wherehe used to spend most of his time. Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him. He was scared and looked. He saw a coyote approaching him. He realized the coyote was so close that he would not have much luck getting away. He started running any way and thecoyote started chasing him. While running, bunny thought of a plan to save himself. Suddenly he stopped and turned around.
"Hey fox, what are you trying to do?" said bunny.
Coyote was surprised to hear bunny calling him a fox. He said, "I am not a fox. I am a coyote. And I am going to catch you for my dinner".
"Oh, no, no. You are a fox. Just look at you", said bunny.
Bunny was so confident that the coyote started having doubt about his own identity. He looked at his arms, and then his legs and they looked exactly like his father's and brother's. He was very confused. He repeated, "I am not a fox. I am a coyote". He moved forward to catch the bunny.
"Wait", said bunny. "Foxes are smarter than that. They wait for others to do the hunting and then get their share. Don't you want to follow the tradition?"
"hmm, he says the foxes are smarter", coyote thought. He started tolike the new identity bunny was forcing on him.
"Ok prove it", coyote said.
"Prove what?" asked bunny.
"Prove that I am a coyote, I mean a fox", said coyote.
Bunny thought for a moment and said, "Why don't you go look in a mirror?".
"A mirror? What is that?", said coyote as he had never heard of it.
"Yeah, a mirror", said bunny. "It is a piece of glass you look into. And you will see yourself in it."
"How do I know if it is me in the mirror?",asked coyote.
"The image in the mirror will do everything you do", said bunny.
"Really?" Coyote was so interested and totally forgot about catching the bunny for dinner. "How am I going to find a mirror in the middle of the forest?", he asked bunny impatiently.
Bunny thought for a moment again. Herecalled that one day he wonderedinto an underground palace in the forest. He found it when he got curious about a big hole in a tree trunk. He found a passage through the tree hole and wondered through it and suddenly found himself inside an abandoned human palace. It had a nice living room with a couch and a TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower, and three bedrooms all with very gefortable beds. He kept jumping on one of the beds while looking in a mirror until he got little scared and so he left. He hadn't been there since then but a fox who wondered the same way decided to make it his home and was living there.
So the bunny decided to send coyote to the underground palace to look in the mirror. He knew, although the coyote was going to find out his real identity, it would give him ample time to run away and hide.
"Why don't we go to the underground palace?", suggested bunny.
"Ok, whatever it takes. I really want to look in a mirror", agreed coyote.
So they started walking. When they arrived at the tree hole, bunny suggested that coyote go in and look in the mirror. Coyote was so excited and went in without any hesitation. He wondered into the living room and didn't see anything that resembled a mirror. So he wondered into the bathroom and noticed the shower door. "That is definitely a piece of glass", he thought. The fox living in thehouse happened to be inside the shower at that very moment getting ready to take a shower. So as the coyote peeked in, he saw the fox and thought that was himself.
"Bunny was right. I am a fox" he thought. Then he started doubting. "If it is my image, it should do everything I do. That's what the bunny said", thought coyote and started waving at the fox.
Fox was so lonely in the palace and was happy to see someone. So he waved back hoping he got a friend.
Coyote was convinced that he was a fox. He was happy to be smarter and excited about his new identity. He started dancing.
Watching coyote dance, fox thought, "Helooks like someonefun to be around. I am glad I got a good friend". He was so happy that he started dancing too.
Coyote, through the glass door, saw the fox dancing and thought, "yes, that's definitely me. I am a fox".
Fox felt being little rude. So he decided to gee out and say hi to his new friend. He opened the shower door and stepped out. That made coyote so scared that he ran out of the palace thinking, "Bunny never told me that the image could really gee out".
That's the end of the story. Hope you enjoyed. I will be posting more stories. Meantime, if you are a gemstone enthusiast, please feel free to visit my okay store.
